It's been helpers, helpers, and more helpers during morning announcements and we aren't mad about it!
Check out some of our MST scientists in action!
Students learned about convection currents in fourth-grade science class. They saw how warm molecules rise while cold molecules sink during an experiment about how heat moves. Warm water was colored red and cold water was colored blue. Through their observations, students found that warm water molecules moved at a faster rate than the cold molecules.
Science can be "s'more" much fun in Ms. Ezekiel's class!
Music class has been full of movement, singing, and instruments these past few weeks and some students have already gotten to compose their own musical ideas. 4th-grade students and students in Ms. Bain's homeroom wrote their own rhythmic patterns and then turned their individual patterns into a whole-class song!
Kindergarten is always a great time, especially when you get to spend your days in Mrs Waldrip's class!
These are just a few of the faces who have been voicing our morning announcements. All of our morning leaders have been nailing this whole announcing thing!
It's fundraiser time!
4th-6th graders kick off their cookie dough fundraiser today. Students will have information and fliers coming home with them. You can also purchase online at goezfr.com using the code MARM23.
Adventures in Literacy
Mrs. Jones' class went on a noun safari around the classroom. Scholars searched around the room for different nouns and recorded them in their wit and wisdom response journals!
We would like to shout a huge THANK YOU to all of these special people for making back to school awesome for our students and our staff!
6th grade students have continued collaborating with the jigsaw method and have already conducted their first Socratic seminar of the year!
Our first ever Wild About Books event was a success! A special thanks to Ms. Burt for driving the bus, our CIA parents for volunteering and JRK printing for making our banner!
It is always a great day when you get to work on your football skills with Mr. Burks!
Sixth grade students participated in the jigsaw learning strategy during wit and wisdom lessons in Ms. Walls's class.
When it's too pretty to learn inside, you take the math outside.
In Mrs. Phillips's class, fourth-grade students acted scene of the story "Thank you Mr. Falker" in an activity called Tableau.
In Mrs. Jones's class, students celebrated "wild about books" during wit & wisdom lessons. Students made their own characters from the text they read.

6th-graders hit the ground running this year as they participated in team building activities during their first week in Ms. Walls's class.
We're still dreaming about those first day vibes!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
It is our goal to make sure that all students make it home safely at the end of every school day. To help ensure this, we have specific traffic patterns to follow when picking up your child as a car rider in the afternoons. All car rider students have been given a blue or green sign with their name on it and a hanger. The sign must be hung at all times in the car rider line so that staff assisting with car rider students can clearly see the sign and ensure that the adult has permission to pick up that student.
K-2 afternoon car rider students dismiss at the front entrance of the building. Any 3rd-6th grade afternoon car rider who rides with a K-2 student also dismisses at the front entrance.
3rd-6th grade afternoon car rider students dismiss by the greenhouse. All adults picking a student there, must enter our car rider line with a right-hand turn, no left-hand turns off of the service road.
