Mappin' Out the World Around Us
Students in Ms. Mattox's class have been practicing how to use atlas books as part of their studies. Students used them as a resource to help them ace their social studies quiz.




Seven MST students participated in the Spring on the Square art competition sponsored by the Marion Chamber of Commerce. Students created art about their favorite part of Marion. The MST participants were Sophie Sagaskey, Alice Hall, Karmon Bogan, Emily Johnson, Jaidynn Bryant, and Vivien Watson (not pictured). Sophie won 1st place for her drawing on canvas of Woolfolk Library. Karmon won 2nd place with her drawing of her school, MST. Alice won 3rd place with her painting of her backyard, her favorite place in Marion. Congratulations! We are so proud of you for sharing your creativity and your art with our community!

Third grade students are collaborating with Ms. Moore, MST art teacher, to create NASA helmets for their big Space Day, May 24th.






As part of teacher appreciation week, students in Ms. Mattox's class wrote letters to to a former teacher. They learned how to write a formal letter and address an envelope. After their letters were all prepared and ready to go, they hand delivered their letters of appreciation.

Tryout Reminders:
-Tryouts will take place from Monday, May 13th through Wednesday, May 15th.
-Every school will attend the tryouts between 8:30-11:30.
-They will make a cut EACH day and the final roster will be sent out on Friday.
-Every student that comes to tryouts must have a physical in their hand in order to tryout.

We might be dreaming of a a beautiful, not-so-long-ago, sunny day when first grade got to take math outside! In their ABC countdown to summer, it happened to be c day. First-graders and their teachers grabbed their chalk, their math skills and headed outdoors. They practiced fluency up to 20 and students had a blast enjoying the nice weather and getting to work together.




Teacher Appreciation Week stars today!
On Friday, the CIA will be providing an appreciation lunch for the entire MST staff. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the CIA this school year. It is because of your support that the CIA is able to provide this for the awesome MST staff.


Congratulations to our 6th grade MST Track and Field competitors on winning the trophy for the 2nd year in a row! 🏃🏻🏆🏃🏽♀️
Last years' winners handed off the trophy to this years' winners, and the greeting from our school when we came back was EPIC! 💥The MST love was felt by all! 🥰
