Each student will bring home a form with a code. All kindergarten and 6th grade students will be photographed and then you may purchase desired pictures online after reviewing your proofs.

Lucky Shamgrams
Candy grams are on sale the mornings of 3/1-3/12 for 50 cents each. Parents may purchase in the office. They will be delivered to homerooms on on 3/15 to enjoy over spring break.
As we wrapped up Black History Month this week, here's a glimpse into some of how we celebrated throughout the month. Check out some photos from Mrs. Bouey's reading class as they learned about influential African Americans from the past and present on their interactive bulletin board.

MST 6th-graders will present our very first Black History Month event on Tuesday, February 27th @ 6pm. This event will be held in the MST cafeteria. There will be art, student presentations, and musical performances. We would love for you to join us!
Gifted and Talented Referrals:
The MSD Gifted and Talented Department (TEAM: Talent, Enrichment and Acceleration in Marion) is currently accepting referrals for GT placement consideration for the 2024-25 school year. If you have any questions or are interested in referring your child for GT, please contact Leah Schmidt, MSD Gifted and Talented Coordinator, at lschmidt@msd3.org. Mrs. Schmidt will provide referral forms and testing information.
MST would like to give a big THANK YOU to the ladies of the Omega Nu Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for donating backpacks to our students. We appreciate them caring about the needs of our students.
Friday, March 1st, is Read Across America Day!
MST will get comfortable while reading and celebrating all things books!
All students may wear pajamas on Friday in celebration of Read Across America Day.

As a reminder, school is in session on Friday, February 16th and Monday, February 19th.
Students are always using their creativity and innovation when they build in Discovery class. Jaylon T., a 5th grade student, went a little old school and created a tollbooth in his based off the novel "The Phantom Tollbooth".
