Next week, we celebrate Red Ribbon Week!

MHS Cheerleaders made this Friday an extra special Homecoming Friday. Thank you, ladies, for giving up some of your Friday morning to come and sell tattoos to our students. Patriot Pride was all up in the house today! #GoPats #ReptheM

There is a new Wizard of the Week in town....Grayson Purdom! You are amazing and MST is proud of you.

Some real life superheroes came to visit MST. They taught our kindergarten and 2nd grade classes about fire safety. Thank you so much. We appreciate you, Marion Fire Department!

Patriot Spirit!
Tomorrow is MHS Homecoming. MST will be filled with Patriot spirit as we get ready to cheer on our Pats. Cheerleaders will be on our campus tomorrow to sell Patriot tattoos. Tattoos will be sold in our lobby between 7:30 and 8:00. Tattoos will cost 50 cents or 2 Patriot Bucks. Let's show some Patriot Pride!

4th Graders enjoyed a trip out to Priddy Farms. Their day was filled with animals, mazes, and lots of outside fun! More pictures will be coming in our next newsletter.

Boo Grams are coming soon! From October 18th-October 26th, Boo Grams can be purchased from 7:30-8:00 in the front lobby. Students will be able to choose from a few different designs and purchase each gram for 50 cents. Students will need to know who they are sending it to and what homeroom that student is in. Members from our Student Leadership Team will be there to help with identifying homerooms. Grams will be delivered on party day.

Innovation in Boo-tober? Absolutely!
1st and 2nd grade students read about Crankenstein and designed their own fidgets in Library with Ms. Burt. Their fidgets are based
on the "feeling" that makes them less cranky or
stressed. Some made squishies, some made pop-its,
some beaded tassels, and even a fishing pole!

Members of our Student Leadership team helped restock our recess tubs. Thank you, students, for your help to make recess great for all of our students. Thank you to all who participated in our fundraisers because you helped make these recess restocks possible!

MST water bottles are back in stock! Water bottles can be purchased in the MST office while supplies last.

This Thursday there will be a MST Community in Action Parent Meeting. The meeting will take place via zoom at 6:30 pm. The zoom link will be posted in the MST CIA Facebook page.

MST 20-21 students did a fundraiser for outdoor
basketball goals. We are excited to announce that the
goals are now installed! Their super sales also provided other outdoor
items for recess! Special shout out to the MST 20-21 6th graders
for leading the charge! #teamMST #creatingthefuture #ONEpatriotONEcommunity

Astronomical announcements! Catch a glimpse of a few of the fabulous faces who used their public speaking skills to lead our morning announcements. We appreciate you!

Again, we are so proud of all our students accomplished in the 1st 9 weeks! These pictures are just a small snippet of the students who were acknowledged and celebrated last week. There was too much awesomeness to fit in one post!

1st 9 Weeks Awards
What can we say? We are totally blown away by our students and all that they accomplish from mathematician awards, to responsibility awards, to honor roll and so much more. You are amazing and we can't wait to see what you do 2nd 9 weeks. Keep your eyes out for my photos coming soon!

Students worked hard this 9 weeks to earn Patriot Bucks. Last week, students got to put those bucks to good use and spend them! The students are excited because they get to spend their bucks and shop. Teachers are excited because students are learning about money, saving, and goal setting. If you would like to help add to our Patriot Store, you can purchase from our K-3 fundraiser. Info can be found a few posts back on our page.

Fall Break is here!! There is no school for students until Monday, October 11th. Be safe and enjoy!

MSD parents:
This is a reminder that if your student is missing a required immunization in order to attend school, those are due on October 1st each year. Please check your student's immunization status and keep in mind that your child cannot return to school after the fall break on October 11th, unless we have records indicating they have the required immunization. Immunizations are available at all local health clinics in the community and at the Crittenden County Health Department by calling 870-735-4334. The upcoming fall break would be a great time to get your child immunized without missing any instructional time in the classroom. If you have further questions, please contact the school nurse on your child's campus. Thank you for helping us keep your child healthy and properly learning here at Marion School District.
