Rath

Marion High School junior Patrick Rath has been selected to perform with the prestigious Music for All National Honor Band of America, earning one of the highest distinctions available to student musicians nationwide. Rath is the only student from Arkansas chosen for the ensemble this year.

Rath’s selection marks the third consecutive year a Marion Band student has earned a spot in the National Honor Band, following Christopher Partain (2025) and Miller Owen (2024).

As a member of the National Honor Band, Rath will perform alongside some of the top high school musicians in the United States this March in Indianapolis, Ind.

Founded in 1992, the Music for All National Honor Band brings together elite student performers from across the country. The 2026 ensemble will be conducted by Dr. Cynthia Johnston Turner, dean of the Faculty of Music at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, and conductor and artistic director of the Wellington Wind Symphony.

Rath is also a member of the Arkansas All-State Band, where he earned First Band, First Chair honors in 2025.
