The Marion Patriot Pride Marching Band started the 2025 competitive marching season in dramatic fashion with a third-place finish out of 20 bands from across the state at the Legacy Marching Invitational hosted by the Bryant High School Band.
Marion earned 1st divisions in Color Guard, Percussion, and Band, while also winning the award for Best Visuals in Class 6A. The band also earned second place in their class by less than a point to defending 6A state champion Lake Hamilton. 7A state runner-up from 2024, Cabot earned 1st place overall.
Next up for the Marion Patriot Pride Band is the Devil Dog Classic on Saturday (Oct. 4), where they will compete with 24 bands from across the region. Performance time for Marion is 5 p.m.
