Thirteen students from Marion High School and Marion Junior High earned spots in the All-Region Choir, following auditions held earlier this month in Jonesboro.
Sponsored by the Arkansas Choral Directors Association (ArkCDA), Marion competes in the Northeast Region. This highly competitive region includes schools from across Eastern Arkansas, stretching from West Memphis to Blytheville, Searcy, Jonesboro, and beyond.
To prepare for the auditions, students learned and performed several challenging selections, including pieces in multiple foreign languages. Their dedication and musical excellence were rewarded, with three high school and 10 junior high students earning positions or alternate spots in this year’s All-Region Choirs.
